Mark has been a professional artist for over 40 years.  Career highlights include working as an illustrator for Hallmark Cards, and now painting and exhibiting his art through The Rice Gallery in Kansas City.  

Having shown his work widely, Mark's paintings can be found in both private and public collections.  He appreciates the training that he received as an art student at Brigham Young University, particularly under the tutelage of two renowned artists, classical painter William Whitaker, and fantasy artist James C. Christensen.  

In his landscape paintings, Mark currently attempts to capture the tonal color and mood that can be observed during early morning or late evening.
